Rental Terms – Aasiaat Car Rental

1. Renter

The renter must be at least 21 years old and must have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 1 year. A valid driver’s license must be presented when the vehicle is collected.

2. Rental Period

The rental period begins and ends at the times agreed upon during booking. Late return of the vehicle may result in additional charges.

3. Payment

The rental fee must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed. The price includes normal use of the vehicle during the rental period. Any additional costs will be settled upon return.

4. Deposit

A deposit may be required at the start of the rental period. The deposit will be refunded after the rental period has ended and the vehicle has been returned in the agreed condition.

5. Use of the Vehicle

The vehicle may only be driven by the registered renter unless otherwise agreed.

It is not permitted to:

use the vehicle for commercial purposes, racing, or off-road driving

allow unauthorized persons to use the vehicle

drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving ability

6. Fuel

The vehicle is delivered with a specified fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Missing fuel will be charged according to the applicable rate.

7. Damage and Liability

The renter is responsible for damage to the vehicle that occurs during the rental period unless otherwise covered by applicable insurance. Any damage or accidents must be reported to the rental company immediately.

8. Insurance

The vehicle is insured in accordance with applicable Greenlandic law. The renter is responsible for the deductible in the event of damage or an accident.

9. Malfunctions and Breakdowns

In the event of technical problems, the renter must contact the rental company immediately. The vehicle must not be repaired without prior agreement.

10. Return of the Vehicle

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when it was delivered, except for normal wear and tear. Additional cleaning may result in a fee.

11. Cancellation

Cancellations must be made as soon as possible. Any fees depend on the timing of the cancellation.

12. Liability

The rental company cannot be held responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.
